Award-Winning Irish Singer, Recording Artist & Composer

Her crystalline voice and warm stage presence have won her fans all over the world. The influence of her classical training in voice, harp,  and piano can be heard in her eclectic fusion of classical music and the folk traditions of her homeland.

She is equally at home performing as a soloist with orchestras and choirs as she is with her own band.  She is passionate about performing songs in the Irish language and championing the work of Irish composers on the international stage.

Méav is featured on several film soundtracks and TV shows including Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure for Disney and The Aristocrats for the BBC.  She performed in the US premiere of Riverdance at Radio City Music Hall, New York, and toured as the solo vocalist in Lord of The Dance.

Méav has released  four successful solo albums and  is thrilled to be returning to the studio this year to record her fifth solo album, Sweet Sorrow.

Méav is a founder member of the supergroup Celtic Woman which has sold over ten million albums and DVDs worldwide. As their vocal director and creative consultant, Méav sourced singers and songs, collaborated on compositions and arrangements and mentored the other performers. Her voice and arrangements are featured on Destiny, the album which won the group their first Grammy nomination. She sings on their 20th Anniversary Concert special which is currently  featured on PBS.

Méav enjoys collaborating with a wide variery of  musicians, from legendary  producer Craig Leon to the Symphony Orchestra of Québec, Canada . A former member of Chamber Choir Ireland and Anúna, she has a deep love  of choral music, and recently invited a local Canadian choir, Les Rhapsodes, to join her onstage for her headline concert of The Quebec Celtic Festival commemorating the music and stories of the Irish Famine.

Méav tours with her own band in Europe, North America, Japan and Korea where her singing is known as healing music.
